About us

Montclair Counseling Collective

Welcome. At Montclair Counseling Collective, we offer a supportive space where you can pause, reflect, and begin moving forward in your life.

We all experience moments of feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or uncertain about which direction to take. And sometimes, we all need a little support. In our work together, we’ll explore where you are now and where you might want to go — at your pace, and in your own way.

You’ll always be met with compassion, not judgment. No pressure, no expectations — just bring yourself. That’s more than enough.

We specialize in individual therapy and adult ADHD evaluations using a psychodynamic and relational framework. Our practice is rooted in cultural responsiveness, trauma-informed care, and a strong belief in the healing power of human connection.

All sessions are conducted virtually via a secure, HIPAA-compliant platform. Dr. Christina Clemons is licensed to work with clients in New Jersey, New York, and Florida. We proudly serve individuals from diverse backgrounds and identities — especially those in the AAPI and LGBTQIA+ communities — and strive to create a space where you feel seen, valued, and supported.

Meet Dr. Clemons

Dr. Christina Clemons is a licensed psychologist in New York, New Jersey, and Florida, with over a decade of experience supporting individuals navigating trauma, anxiety, and depression. Her clinical background includes working with a diverse range of clients — from young children and college students to retired veterans — always with care that is thoughtful, inclusive, and grounded in connection.

Dr. Clemons draws from a psychodynamic and relational framework, emphasizing the importance of both past experiences and present-day relationships in shaping how we see ourselves and move through the world. She believes that while your past has influenced who you are, you also have the strength and capacity to heal, grow, and write a new chapter for yourself.

She is deeply committed to providing affirming, culturally responsive care, with a particular passion for working with individuals from historically marginalized communities — including AAPI and LGBTQIA+ populations. Her practice is a safe space where all parts of your identity are honored and welcomed.

At the heart of her work is the belief that the relationship you have with yourself is not only meaningful, but transformative — and that nurturing that relationship is a powerful part of your healing journey.

Our Services

(Virtual Only)

At Montclair Counseling Collective, all services are provided virtually through a secure, HIPAA-compliant telehealth platform. This allows clients to access high-quality care from the comfort and privacy of their own space, with the same level of connection, intention, and support as in-person sessions.

  • Individual Psychotherapy

We offer adult individual therapy grounded in a psychodynamic and relational framework, tailored to meet the unique needs of each client. Our approach is compassionate, culturally responsive, and rooted in the belief that healing happens through meaningful connection. We are committed to supporting individuals from all backgrounds and identities with care that is affirming, inclusive, and trauma-informed.

  • ADHD Evaluations

Our comprehensive adult ADHD (Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder) evaluations are designed to offer clarity, insight, and compassionate support. These assessments help individuals better understand how their minds work—how they focus, process information, and move through the world—while identifying, or ruling out, ADHD and other neurodivergent experiences.
